Wearing NaaNaa to Carabao

Going out for lunch during Summer is a tricky affair in terms of clothing,  the voice inside my head that dominates is telling me that all I want to be wearing is beach cover ups and bikinis, but society and etiquette is telling me that this is certainly not appropriate attire for anywhere other than the beach. Two pieces have been the word on my lips for a while, but when I found the Sakura Sunflower Co-ord shorts  I knew I was onto a winner. The shorts are in the style of culottes, and when worn look like a skater skirt. They have freedom of wear which is perfect for walking along the beach, and modest enough to be wearing when you go out for lunch.

My Dad brought my toddler brother up to see me at the weekend, and after Peter & I’s visit to the Thai Restaurant Carabao opposite me it had been on Dad’s wishlist for a while. Luckily they were really accommodating for children and I felt that my outfit was perfect for the occasion.

We all ordered off the set menu which was £9.99 for two courses & either a Chang beer, a glass of wine or a soft drink. The previous visits I had made, Peter and I had spent well in excess of £40-£50 per person without factoring in single drinks and bottles, so the lunch set menu is a bargain with 10 starters to choose from & 17 mains here, and with a £4.99 kids menu it really is family friendly. I chose the Prawn Tempura & Pad Thai as my choices, whilst we all indulged in a Chang beer together, it really was a lovely meal for a great price.

My outfit

I decided to wear heels for my Dad’s visit despite the realisation of walking along the beach and enjoying some lunch. My Office shoes were a bargain off eBay a while ago, and the chunky heel makes them so easy to walk in, & love the peep toes, ankle strap and studded detail. I thought that they would go perfectly with my NaaNaa Two piece which was £15.99 per item, and seeing as I will (and like to) mix and match it was a great find.

Untitled4_original I picked my Vanilla shimmer  crystal necklace to go with the outfit as it is really quirky, and versatile. If you haven’t checked them out already I would highly recommend it as the prices are fantastic and the pieces are gorgeous.
